What Can Make Life Better

One of the affirmations that stroke me this year was the opinion of the persons that live in very difficult conditions like high mountains etc about us, "modern" persons. These guys are surprised that we suffer of inferiority complex even if we live good and have so many possibilities in the life in confront to those populations.

Since I'm among those irresolute, I look sometimes for the advises how to grow self-confidence. Here are exercises that can help us.

It's good to do what we like to. Often we think "What other people will say if they see me doing it" or  "I'm old and can't play/ dance/ wear like this!" Do it yourself and don't judge others doing "strange things". (well, this first is not for me: I do normally what I like).

Don't look in the mirror -normally, we judge ourselves when we look in it.

Do not compare one person to an other. Everybody of us is unique and one who has iPod is not better than an other that does not have it. There are not perfect neither ideal persons (this last is often a problem of the parents that want their children are perfect -and ruine their lives).

But the best advise is to learn something new every day. We remain young untill we are interested to study and explore new things in the life.

Do not hesitate: try it! dance, jump, run, create pictures, learn chinese language... Did you ever paint on the water? Do you think it's unpossible? Write in youtube: painting on water.

Prove: Yoga Maintains our Bodies Young!

I'm sure that you have seen videos with the guru (real guru) of yoga that demonstrate their puples what is possible to do with our bodies. There are videos of Iyengar, Krisnamacharya and others.

This video is very special not for the exercices that is able to do Swami Yogananda at 101 years. It is amazing but we expect something like this from our precious Teachers.

What is really Marvelous? Do you know? Watch this video once more. Pay attention on the state of the skin of Swami Yogananda. He is very thin, yes, but look at his muskles. Specially those under the arms. We have it flabby just at about 40 -45 years, no? And his neck?

Well, you got the idea. Yoga helps us to have young skin till advanced age. To have the skin of the neck young, too. Is it not the dream of every woman?

Depression and the Lack of the Essentials

Depression is a very hard desease. I think, you will agree with this definition. Therer is not a reason to feel bad but the life becomes impossible. You can't do anything, you don't find a place where you can forget about this state, you "sleep" all the day and don't sleep in the night. Your body shows the signs of the bad state, too. Your hairs fall like the leaves in autumn, your nails go to pieces...

Some researches proved that all this depend from the ...lack of the Vitamin D.

The problem is that it's not enough to assume vitamins in tabs. We need half an hour (at least) of exposure to the sun every day. The right form of Vit.D can be created only by sun in our bodies. We can eat handfuls of tabs every day but they don't work without sun. Unfortunatelly.
A study of 1282 elderly residents in the Netherlands found increased depression among people whose serum levels of vitamin D were below 25 (OH), with severity of depression dramatically increased as D levels decreased.
According to the Vitamin D Council several factors impact how much D is produced:
  • Angle of sun’s rays.  If your shadow is longer than you are tall, little vitamin D is being made.
  • Skin color.  People with fair skin have less melanin to protect against sun damage and need only 15 minutes of exposure, while those with dark skin need up to six times longer.
  • Amount of skin exposed.  Forty percent of a body’s surface should be exposed.  Torso exposure produces the most D; legs and arms a little; hands and face almost none.
  • Age slows production, taking four times longer for people over 60 and under 20.
  • Sunscreens as low as 8 block up to 95% of vitamin D production.
  • Cloud cover and air pollution can reflect or absorb UVB.
  • Glass blocks all UVB.
The way to combine sun and an other remedy to cure depression, physical exercises, is to walk at least 30 minutes every day. Specially, it's valid for aged and obese persons.

Than. There are Omega 3 fats. Those are essential for our brains, too. I don't want to repeat the things you know just. I want only to tell you about the new researches' results.
Magnetic resonance imaging has shown depressed people have stiffer cell membranes
And this essential substance we can find in natural products like Fish Oils. These do not work without sun exposion, too.
(quotes are from the books of Gracelyn Guyol  sent me in a mail by her promoter probably)

Aliments for Good Sleep

Everybody has own system to fight insomnia. Here are some of them:
One does not eat after 18:00
Other eats something before going to bed because feels bad with the empty stomach.
Somebody tryes to avoid coffee other does not drink at all.
Most use camomile or milk or honey or mix all them in a warm sweet drink...

What scientists say about it?

I found an article that -if summarized- explains what we have to avoid and what to assume before we go to bed:
Don't eat great quantities of food, much salt and peppers (all varieties)
Don't eat anything that includes great quantities of sodium: chips and crisps, stock-cubes and any tinned food.
Don't eat chocolate and don't drink coffee, tea etc.

What CAN we eat before we go to bed?
Ant food that helps to the body to produce seratonina responsible for relaxation and psychical health.
Such as:
Rise, cereals, pasta, bread, milk, vegetables and mature fruits.
The Prince of Relax is mandarine that contains many bromuri.

All this in respect of personal allergies and intollerances.

Benefits of Olive Oil for Alzheimer’s Disease

Many surveys prove that what we are afraid of today are different mental problems, and Alzheimer’s Disease occupies one of the first places in the list of our fears. The last newsletter about the recent events brought me the notice that scientists found a very effective substance that will help in the cure of this terrible problem of aging.

In 1998, the team from Philadelphia wrote they understood how the bad elements work: they block the nerves, turn they out, and the person does not remember anything more.

Now, in October, the same team published the results of their last discovery that tells about the benefits of the main substance of the olive oil: it changes the structure of the toxic elements that act in the brain and do not allow them cause damages for our memory.

Well, before the scientists invent a new medicine maybe we have to use olive oil in our diet -in everyday salads, for example.

This is my article of some years ago How We Make Olive Oil

Fight with Weight

My Holy Fight with Weight continue on the next step. I bought a massaging hula hop with magnets in the massaging "knobs". Here it is

My new devise comes from Korea (originally), has rather big weight of 1700 g and is large enough. Incidentally, Korea is where you can find the highest percentage of cosmetic surgery cases, including liposuction.

It's peculiarities, I think, make the difference with the hula hop I had before and could not use: I had terrible neck pains every time I used it. This one is much more difficult to twirl, and I had bruises first week of use, but I have not neck pains and am very content with it. Because I really like "hula-hopping".

If I could not twirl it more than 40 times the first days, I exercise about 5 minutes now. I like my sides -they become more compact with some muscles that is possible to find there now. :-))) I do not think that I'll be able to lower my weight because I have to change my mode to cook and to eat generally, but I think, my body will leave that nasty fat on the sides and I'll be more acceptable -for me, clearly.

List of Toxic Additives

This list is distributed by the Anti-Tumour Center of Pordenone, Italy. There are non-toxic (1), suspected (2) and TOXIC additives in this list. If you want to avoid intoxication and deseases, read the Ingredients of the aliment you want to buy and do not purchase those suspected and toxic. Specially avoid E330

Parkinson’s Disease: New Research Results

Very interesting Release sent me now could be interestoing for you, too. I wanted to sorten the article but it is unpossible because everything is important here. Specially for those persons that are waiting for the news about this terrible desease. So, even if I'm maybe not right that I copy an entire article here, I do it because I'm sure it's can be a hope for sentient beings.

Pitt Researchers Using Mathematics
To Target Parkinson’s Disease Symptoms

University of Pittsburgh mathematicians, working with neurobiology researchers, are using computational models, experiments, and analysis of models and data to study the way that signals are transferred between the basal ganglia, a collection of nuclei found in the brain that helps with motor control, and the thalamus, its downstream target in the brain. Although scientists can’t yet prevent the cell death associated with Parkinson’s, their study of mathematical patterns could guide the development of less invasive treatments that block the motor symptoms of the disease.

“For Parkinson’s patients, there are more spurts and pauses in neural activity, and the firing of groups of neurons becomes more coordinated, leading to tremor and other symptoms,” said Jonathan Rubin, Pitt professor of mathematics and one of the principal investigators on the project. “The neuronal activity is like a woodpecker knocking on a tree outside your window; it distracts you when it first starts pecking, and then the silence grabs your attention when the pecking suddenly stops.  Similarly, the starts and stops in the neuronal activity can become disruptive to signal processing in the brain.”

Rubin said this firing pattern may be what leads those with Parkinson’s to experience shaking, rigid muscles, and difficulty in making quick movements. Currently, if side effects of drug treatments become too strong, surgeons fight these symptoms with deep brain stimulation (DBS), an aggressive but commonly used surgical treatment in which an implanted electrode literally penetrates the brain and sends out electrical impulses.

“It’s not quite understood how deep brain stimulation works,” said Rubin. “But it may be similar to the white noise of a window fan: It’s right there in your window next to you, so it’s potentially more distracting than a woodpecker. But actually, the regularity of the rhythm is less disruptive for you and your brain.”

Pitt researchers are trying to understand the neuronal activity patterns so they can improve the deep brain stimulation procedure, making it more individualized and efficient.

Along with Rubin, the principal investigators of the NSF award for the study of complex biological systems across multiple space and time scales are G. Bard Ermentrout, Distinguished University Professor of Computational Biology and professor of mathematics at Pitt; David Swigon, Pitt associate professor of mathematics; and Ivan Yotov, professor and chair in Pitt’s Department of Mathematics. The NSF grant partially funded the work of mathematics graduate student Pamela Reitsma, who carried out preliminary computational studies on the flow of signals from the basal ganglia under the supervision of Rubin and Brent Doiron, Pitt assistant professor of mathematics.

The principal investigators of the NIH grant are Pitt researchers Robert Turner, associate professor of neurobiology at Pitt; Brent Doiron, assistant professor of mathematics; and Rubin.

New Researches About Ageing, Weight and Hairs

I found some interesting notices that tell about the results of the medical researches. I want to list them here.

One of them is about the ageing of the body.

Scientists discovered that our cells have natural limits of the number of divisions that is 50. After that, the cells begin to contaminate, disturb other cells. The researchers decided to clean the bodies of the mice from those old cells -and the mice remained in better form than those who did not have this treatment.

Now, they want to know if this cleaning can provoke deseases like cancer etc.

My personal doubt is this: why the nature choosed this strange precise number? Why 50 and not 49 or 52,  for example? Do the numbers, invented by humans, are valid for the Universe?

На паперти...
«На паперти...» на Яндекс.Фотках

Second interesting discovery is about the weight and obesity.

The scientists are sure now different elements like plastic etc can influence the weight of the persons. Toxic substances of different sources we are in contact affect microbes that live in our intestine. Did you know that we have much more microbes in the intestine that all the sum of the cells that compose our body? The microbes practically control all the functions of our organisms. And, in this sence, weight, insuline, etc etc. But these microbs can be damaged by the chemical substances we are in contact with. Scientists found more than 30 toxins in the intestine of the obese persons.

It's known that some microbs of our intestine can change medicines we assume so that they become more toxic. And this s the next task for the researchers -to discover how the microbs of the intestine can interact with the pollute elements we have around us.

Finally, the third report was about the color of the hairs.

One Japanese scientist found different metals in the hairs of different colors. So, iron, cooper and nickel are in the hairs of all colors. More nickel -light hair, more cooper -black hair, more iron and molybdenum -broun hair. What is interesting, Japanese researchers says, grey hairs contain only nickel.

Drive Public Awareness About Skin Disease

I received a press release from October 25, 2011 about American Skin Association. It's not about the alternative medicine but this blog is here to spread the important information about the organizations that help us to remain healthy and to cure different problems, too. That is why I think this can be useful to some of my readers.

American Skin Association was founded by Dr. George W. Hambrick, a leader in the field of dermatology.  The organization's achievements include:

  • Supporting the work of over 133 exceptional young scientists with the vision, drive and dedication to find new and innovative new ways to prevent, detect and treat skin disease.

  • Committing $7.7 million to advance dermatological research - the key to earlier diagnosis, less invasive therapies and, in time, prevention and cure.

  • Providing free instruction in sun safety and skin health to 12 million children, teachers & parents through award-winning, national public school programs, such as The Wonders of Skin: Looking Good, Being Healthy and ASA's newest initiative for pre-teens and young teens - The Skin You're In.

  • Establishing a model laboratory at Weill Cornell Medical College, which today remains one of the finest research facilities of its kind.

  • Helping Americans to better understand the often devastating impact of skin disease and the skin's irreplaceable role in good health through a free hotline, publications and a Web site developed with The Rockefeller University.

  • Urging government leaders to support increased funding for research, which is today among the National Institutes of Health's lowest priorities.

Do You Like Nordic Walking?

Walking is my favourite sport. I walk when I can, and can tell you with certain honour, that I can walk even better than the young tourists that come to visit Vesuvius and Pompei and ask me to be their guide. The excursion is relatively difficult. It will be enough maybe if I tell you that the visitable (excavated) area of Pompei is 44 ha and the houses to visit are situated here and there. If you add Vesuvius to this walk -not very long trait to claimb but... it's hard enough, too.

So, I laughed when I found this video about the "nordic walking". I had a blogger-friend from Norway once, I remembered him: he would laugh with me watching this video, surely.  It's a Polish version of Chinese fitness Qigong and not "nordic" :-))), don't you think?

Thoughts about Prostate Cancer

What are the most frequent cancer types?
According to the National Cancer Institute, the most frequent is Prostate Cancer. The second has to be Breast Cancer. If you do not read the sites and do not look at the lists, you can notice that these numbers are correct because people speak about THESE types of cancer that happen to their relatives and friends more frequently -even if it's so easy to control the state of own health to prevent them, today.

About a week ago, my friend wrote me about her mother that began to claim pain in the breast. When she was operated, they found cancer in the state that is unpossible to cure. WHY did she not control her breast when every mass media crys about this possibility just for years?

A cousin came to visit my husband today and told him that he, knowing that there are different cases of prostate cancer in the family, goes for controls every year now (he is about 55). Prostate cancer is so easy to diagnose when it is at the beginning! Why do not control it after 45 years?

I asked different friends if they control their health regularly. Do you know what they said me? They have not time for it. They have not time to cure themselves if they will find something. They prefere to die suddenly.
These are the results of my "survey".

We live in the modern society. There is not a shame to check the health. Everybody knows that there are breasts and there are prostates. Death from Cancer is terrible. Only animals have the fortune to be put down. Humans have to live all the terrible pains till the end. Why we do not think about it BEFORE it's too late?

Purifying Treatment -Herb Tea

Purifying treatments are very useful to clean our inner organs from "limestones". I know that stones in different organs are very frequent problem and the reason why the organs are removed. Virtually, there is not an older person -from the age 60-65- that did not have these pains. I do purifying cure 2 times a year, normally, in spring and in autumn. With the hope that we will avoid this illness. I make herb tea with

dandelion

Artichoke

birch

milk thistle (Silybum marianum)

The preparation is very simple . I take a earthenware pot where I boil water (you have not touch the infuse with the metal objects). In this case you see pieces of Lapacho in the pot because, as I said in my previous posts, I decided to continue with Lapacho.

Отвар

A special mug is useful but not necessary. I put a spoon of the herbs (mixed) in it and cover them with boiled water.

Because the herbs are very nourishing, it's better to drink the infusion in the morning and reduce the quantity of sugars in the diet.

September: Continue with Lapacho

This year, I wrote different times about our attempts to use Lapacho to strengthen health (Useful to Prevent, Delay, or Treat Cancer -Lapacho). Specially, because we are not too young more, and the deseases of the age do not bypass our house.

Sommer finished for me 2 weeks before the end of August. I noticed that my nails became thin and fragile. The action of Lapacho finished, probably. I do not know why is it every year for me: nails and hairs suffer incredibly the change of the seasons.

I do not know, if I'm right, but I read in the books about the Eastern medicines (Ayurveda etc) that it's better to avoid to use herbs till September, 15 for health improvement. So, I respect this rule and wait for this date every year.

Now, what I want to do this year? I want to prepare the cleaning herbs (artichoke, birch, dandelion, milk thistle) and will add Lapacho to this mix. Not so much as I did in spring. I'm very afraid that I'll begin to add weight once more. I'll use only a very little quantity: only a pinch.
And will write about the results here, clear.

There is No Buddha Outside Of the Mind

Sound healing is a very powerful technique to relax, to find a balance in the own life. The posts of this blog are often dedicated to the sounds and their use for meditation. I found 2 interesting videos with mantras today. these sounds were studied for centuries and maybe for millenniums to touch the most deep and important strings of our soouls. There are only 2 monasteries teaching this kind of singing as I know.

In any case you will enjoy the holy silence and majestic beauty of excellent film about Himalayas

Space Gazing

Meditation is an excellent way to regain calm and forces, to relax and to forget about the problems this last is equal to health. One of the meditation techniques is to practice it in an open place or near the sea 'in those environments where you can stay in touch with infinite. Montecsassino

Contact lens care

Many of us choose to wear contact lenses these days rather than glasses, this is mainly due to the fact that many of us have a hectic working and social life and keeping an eye on your glasses at all times, or trying to stop them falling loose whilst running to and from the next meeting, can be near impossible!

Also certain activities will not allow us to wear glasses, such as an intense gym session, swimming or running.  In any one of the above circumstances wearing contact lenses is so much easier, not only will you be able to see clearly, you won’t be running the risk of losing or breaking an expensive pair of glasses.

Most people nowadays choose to wear daily contact lenses, which means you have a new lens for each day rather than washing the lenses every evening.  This is thought of as a safer and more hygienic option and allows the wearer to simply toss the worn pair away and open up a new packet the next day!

Wearing contact lenses also means the user won’t run the risk of forgetting to take her or his glasses to work and therefore squinting all day without them, which will not only cause discomfort but also headaches.

You should talk to your eye doctor or optician before choosing between throwaway contact lenses or soft contact lenses.  Both offer a similar solution and a good alternative to wearing glasses on a daily basis, however the soft lenses do require the user to take a great deal of care of their lenses in order to prevent eye infections or irritation.  The lenses should be inserted into a cleansing solution every evening and over night in order to keep them intact and in good condition.

If you want to view contact lenses online visit www.getlenses.co.uk.

Ayurveda and Mushrooms

Праздник Грибов Torchiati, Montoro Superiore Many of you will struggle for breath looking at this photo, probably. Yes, the period of the mushrooms began here, and it's just possible to buy these beauties.Well, we have mushrooms near the house but only "agaric honey" and they do not grow in this period.

Did you know that Ayurveda does not advise to eat mushrooms if you want to live healthy? I was surprised to read about it. Other foods that Ayurveda does not accepts as healthy? Meat, Fish and other Seafood, Cheese and Eggs, Garlic and Onion, Vinegar, Coffee and Tea...

Do you dream about Ayurveda lifestyle else?

Cactus is a Medicinal Plant

Кактусы Цветут

Medicinal plants are very popular in our world now. If you like natural therapy, you probably use all the plants that grow not too far from your house (well, relatively far -not all have ecological and clean areas just behind the door, as I have). But there is one plant I've never thought it could be used as medicinal.

I have some interesting flowers now in the yard this week.

Yes, cactuses. Simple and so good known plants that ... are used as officinal plants, too.

Did you know it? Well, I did not. Enjoying these flowers this morning, I thought: who knows, there are maybe native for the places where cactuses grow nations that know their curative properties. And I undertook a little research in internet.

:-))) You will laugh maybe, but the traditional medicine that uses cactuses to cure some deseases is ...the Chinese traditional medicine (I thought, cactuses grow in Mexico and in deserts). And it knows about the properties of the cactuses from the times of the Qin Dynasty that means from about III century bC.

They say, cactuses help to relax, they calm pains, cure digestion's problems and much more.

But the other quality is most important for our life, I think: cactuses are able to absorb the radiation. Nobody knows how they do it. But the needles of cactuses can neutralize bad ions of sun, of TVs, computers, cells etc. That is why you can read often that you have to place cactuses near and over your devices.

Motherwort for Good Sleep

Пустырник
«Пустырник» на Яндекс.Фотках

When we have problems in our life, this often leads to the lost of the normal sleep flow. Those who is not too young knows that these problems with the sleep become always more frequent with the age.

There are many plants that help us to solve this inconvenience in natural way, but the plants are not always safe for use in sense that you have to be sure they will not damage your health, and every plant has it's particular action. For example, camomole is immunosuppressant if used not properly, mint can damage cardiovascular system, motherwort (on thte photo) was used very much in the medicine, so that there was plants in every garden to have it neaby. They advise to use it for good quality sleep very often. But the incorrect usecan damage your health forever. If you will survive after it. So, if you want to use this plant, you have to ask your pharmacist and never exceed the doses.

Herbs are good remedies but they need more time to manifest the effects and these effects continue for more time than the medicines.

Cherry Paste Decreases Muscle Tenderness

Interesting article arrived me this morning. I think, it will be interesting to read to everybody who prefers natural remedies.
WINONA, Minn. – A scientific study conducted at Winona State University has found that tart cherry paste significantly decreased muscle tenderness and pain following strenuous exercise, and generally lowered blood pressure compared to a group ingesting a placebo. The research findings were released by the university’s Department of Health, Exercise and Rehabilitative Sciences.

The purpose of the 2010 cross-over double blind study was to examine the effects of cherry supplementation on exercise-induced inflammation, muscle soreness and blood pressure. CherryFlex ProSport Shot, a tart cherry gel made from whole fruit and marketed under the name FruitFast, was used in the study.

Nineteen healthy college-aged male students participated in the study, with all subjects completing both a placebo and tart cherry supplementation. The study participants performed five sets of 10 maximal eccentric contractions of the elbow flexor immediately after ingestion of a placebo or cherry supplement. Both the placebo and supplement were also ingested for five days after the strenuous exercise bout.

Lead researcher Dr. Gary Kastello said the study results demonstrated an acute analgesic effect decreasing muscle tenderness and pain perception after subjects ingested the tart cherry supplement. Cherry supplement ingestion was also associated with a strong trend of lowering subject’s systolic blood pressure. On average, the subject’s systolic blood pressure decreased by 8 mmHg.

The current study differed from a similar study completed by Winona State University two years ago. The current study investigated the acute effects of tart cherry supplementation with subjects ingesting the supplement immediately before strenuous exercise, whereas the previous study investigated chronic effect with subjects ingesting
the supplement for 16 days prior to the strenuous bout of exercise.

“Any athlete in training or everyday individuals subjected to strenuous activity can become sore when muscles swell following exercise. Additionally, high blood pressure is a concern for all Americans,” said Dr. Kastello. “The tart cherry supplement decreased muscle tenderness and pain following exercise, and generally lowered subject’s blood pressure as well.”

According to Dr. Kastello, results from the original pilot study completed in 2008 suggested that the ingestion of the cherry supplement reduces muscle soreness, oxidative stress and C-reactive protein levels compared to subjects ingesting placebo.

Both studies support the finding that tart cherries speed relief of muscle fatigue post-exercise.

“The most compelling health-related change to come out of that early study was the decline in C-reactive protein, which is considered a marker of coronary artery disease risk,” Kastello continued. “This most recent study’s surprise finding was the general lowering of systolic blood pressure.”

The research findings were presented and published June 1 at the 2011 American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting and World Conference in Denver.

How We Cure Indigestion

There are different ways to cure indigestion. Someone drinks lemon juice, others use black tea maybe with juice of lemon and much sugar, sometimes they ingest activated carbon. All these remedies are valid.

Not all of us know that there is a very important plant to use in these cases: it's the wild rose. It's berries with the seeds. Not always we find seeds in the dry rosehips in the herbalist’s shops because they have not very pleasant hairs, but they say, these seeds contain very useful substances. So, if you prepare your herb tea, use the seeds and filter than the drink.

Wild rose is very good not only for those who has indigestion but for those who has liver and kidneys problems and illnesses. Even those who has grave illnesses can and have to use rosenhips without fear.

There are herbal drinks in the filters in the supermarkets, too. It's good if they contain hibiscus and elderberries, too.

The wild rose is very easy to grow in the garden and it's very efficient as a fence. You will have your own berries of the wild rose every autumn. But the wild rose is beautiful, too, and it will enjoy your eyes from spring till winter: the red rosehips are very spectacular in the white winter cover and they attract birds. You see how many joys and benefits can donate you a simple modest wild plant.

Tea Ceremony

чайная церемония
«чайная церемония» на Яндекс.Фотках

Did you know that the Tea Ceremony was born as a meditation of the Buddhist monks of Japan? Only in the Middle Ages the tea Ceremony left the monasteries and become comon custom in all the houses till it became one of the most important tourist attractions for the European and American visitors of the country. What an interesting transformnation.
And, finally, the ancient tradition turns back to it's origins in the teachings of the buddist monks like Tich Nath Hahn who explains this meditation to his western disciples. You can read about it here

Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves' Paintings and Ryukoku Museum

Very interesting Buddhist complex Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves situating between Turfan and Shanshan (China) is now presented in Japanese Ryukoku Museum in private Ryukoku University.

There are pictures representing different lives of Buddha Sakyamuni were in the very eng corridor. After I've watched some of the videos available in YouTube, I can't understand how the painters were able to make this works. I would give the name of one of the marvels of the world to this work. But, as they say, it's better to see once than ti hear 10 times. The first video is about the Bezeklik Caves and the second video is about the exposition in the museum of Ryukoku.

Join the World's International Day of Compassion.

Here is the message I received today and was asked to pass it to all my friends and readers
From other side, in the times when we remained without our believed blogger communities like My Blog Log this is the possibility to join a new one that, I hope, will take it's place.

On May 15, 2011 Bloggers and other social media participants will blog about the importance of Compassion.
“Compassion is not religious business, it is human business, it is not luxury, it is essential for our own peace and mental stability, it is essential for human survival.”
~ Dalai Lama
What makes this event special?
1.) With your HELP we are petitioning the United Nations to designate MAY 15 as the world's International Day of Compassion.
2.) To raise awareness about Compassion as this can only lead to good.
3.) The first International Day of Compassion is in honor of the "Real" Dr. Patch Adams whose compassion extends beyond any borders. We hope that as a result of this day Dr. Adams will further his cause of building his "dream" hospital.
4.) We believe that with the disasters, man-made and those caused by nature, it is vital that the world community dedicate one day to raise awareness and take compassionate action.
5.) TO UNITE together as bloggers and micro-bloggers, Twitter and FaceBook users and make a real, long lasting, sustainable positive difference to our world.
I know that you receive a ton of requests to do good. Why participate in this event in particular?
BloggersUnite is a non-profit in the true sense of the meaning. It makes no profit. It is completely funded by BlogCatalog.
With that in mind, I ask you to PLEASE JOIN us at BloggersUnite & submit your blog post, grab an Action Badge, and/or sign up to support this cause. Write about whatever you want related to compassion. We are an issue-agnostic platform that promotes issues that are of importance.
If you want to get your hand's dirty and assist me in drafting the Petition to the Secretary-General of the UN you'll find it here.
Once you have blogged or tweeted about the event, please make certain you visit BloggersUnite and list your blog post so that others can read it.
Your feedback and suggestions are encouraged and welcome. Also, if you run a non-profit or are an NGO and wish to be part of this movement please contact me and we can partner with you and get you compassionate organization exposure.
Isn't it time for more compassion?
Best,
Tony

Lapacho: We Continue the Cure

Чай ЛапачоLapacho is an Argentinian tree that has many useful for the health properties. I just wrote about it in my post ( Useful to Prevent, Delay, or Treat Cancer -Lapacho ) where I told you about it's marvelous -if we want to believe to the written sources- capacities to cure even Leucaemia (I read about the clinics in Brasil where the patients are treated with Lapacho).

I told you that we -my husband and me- began to assume a cup (250 ml) of tea every day. I prepare 1 tea-spoon for 500 ml of water every day and we drink it about half an hour before the lunch. We do it for 1 month and than we have 1 week off. This way, we continue from January and now will have the 3-d week-off.

About the results.
The first result we had just after one month, I think, was that the hair and nails grow fast and are more hard. Generally, we feel more toned.
I have less problems with digestion ( I had always sick eating fast every food in the last period).

About a week ago began suddenly a very bewildering increase in weight. Both, we added 5 kg in 1 week (it's strange that both the same number). I was just overveight and this is a great tragedy for me.
Is it the demonstration of the wrong diet?
Or have we to interrupt the treatment?
I've read that the treatment with Lapacho has to continue AT LEAST 6 month.

Silicone is Dangerous!

Силиконовая розаEverybody knows that the silicon implants are dangerous. Different sources tell us stories about show girls that had problems with their "additional beauties". So, they tell about one actress whose silicone breast exploded during the filming of a new movie.

The last story is about an Israeli pornostar. She had to kiss a boa during a photograph session. The snake did not like this "job" and bit the silicone breast of the woman.

What happend after that? Nothing bad for the woman that was took away in a hospital for controls.

But the boa died for the intoxication.

This Friday, February 4 is World Cancer Day

One in two men and one in three women will get cancer in their lifetimes. Isn't it time to take a stand against cancer and change the odds? On Friday, please take a moment to spread the word and help send a global message to end cancer.

This Friday, February 4 is World Cancer Day. To support this awareness-raising initiative, Stand Up to Cancer is calling on all Facebook users to take a virtual stand with their status message.  If you could encourage your readers to participate, it would be greatly appreciated.
Participation is quick and easy:  go to WCD2011.su2c.org and fill in your connection to cancer (e.g. "my mother," "my sister," "John Taylor").  If you are personally in the fight, SU2C suggests you enter the message: "I stand for the end of cancer."  The page will automatically create your World Cancer Day Facebook status for you, similar to the one below:

First Letter of your Family Name Influences your Behaviour

Did you know that your reaction in diffferent situations of the life depends often from your family name? To be more precise -from it's first letter. Don't believe? I could not believe, too. But it's a truth.

Children, whose last name beginns from the last letters of the alphabet know from school that they are last in the row and have to wait much time and -maybe!- do not receive what they have to receive. In any case, they have to wait much time. To solve this problem they develop fast reaction and decide very quickly what to do in this or that situation. The children with the family name that beginns with the first letters of alphabet are much more slow because they are acustomed to be always the first and have not to wait.

This study is confirmed by the women that changed their last name when married. They continue to act so as before according to their original family name.

Ways to Treat Cancer

Eric, the author of this article, asked me to post it in my blog. Hope the information you will find there will be useful.

Mesothelioma is one of the rarest, most aggressive cancers today. Caused by asbestos exposure, the lung cancer is difficult to treat. Mesothelioma Life Expectancy is often less than a year because of the unusually long latency period of its symptoms.

Mesothelioma is often resistant to traditional chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Therefore it may prove beneficial to those suffering from mesothelioma, and really any cancer, to research and discuss therapy options with their doctors.

Vitamin C

Good for colds and other common ailments, Vitamin C may help to prevent cancer form metastasizing Vitamin C is essential for increasing the immune systems’ effectiveness and for creating collagen. Collagen is a protein that supports and connects tendons and ligaments. It also strengthens bones, and muscles, and blood vessels.

Astragalus

Astragalus is the root of a plant commonly grown in China. The Chinese believe that a combination of astragalus and chemotherapy may slow tumor growth, improve immune system capabilities, and relieve some of the negative chemotherapy side effects.

Ukrain

Ukrain is derived from the combination of the chemotherapy drug Thiotepa and a common root called greater celandine. When administered intravenously, Ukrain may improve the quality of life and life expectancy of some patients.

Iscador

Iscador is a species of European Mistletoe. For centuries, mistletoe has been used to improve health. Iscador may be able to alter the composition of cancer cells, strengthen the immune system, and improve general well-being. It may prevent the cancer from metastasizing in some cases.

Because Mesothelioma symptomsare difficult to diagnose, treatment for patients is often difficult or ineffective. Perhaps with the use of less traditional treatments, like Astragalus, Ukrain, Iscador, and the all-powerful Vitamin C, mesothelioma and other cancer patients can become cancer survivors.

Mediterranean Diet for the Brain Health -Receipe

Mediterranean Diet is known as the best for health today. But it's ingredients you can find all year long in every supermarket round the world.

Scientists built a list of the best for the brain health  aliments where the first place takes red cabbage. Here is the receipe from the Mediterranean diet you can make every day all year long after you visit the nearest supermarket:

In the pack, there is a just ready mix for a salad: choose that with 3 or 4 ingredients with the red cabbage or, otherwise, red lettuce. Both are good, as explained earlier.

Olive oil is "Extravergine". Attention! Non everybody will say it to you but it's important: you have to conserve your olive oil in an inox recipient. Plastic is absolutely to avoid, and glass is not good, too. Don't use more than 1 spoon to flavour your salad! It's too caloric.

The other, black in the bottle on my photo, is "Aceto Balsamico di Modena" -balsamic vinegar from Modena (Italian city). Better if aged, and there are diffferent tastes, so try different marks for the best for you salad.

Other good for brain health aliments are
dried apricots
bilberry
cod
avocado
aubergine
beet
white chicken meat
salmon
coffee
kiwi
green pea
veal liver
molluscs
prawns
red beans
vine
sea salt
laminaria
pistachio, almonds, walnuts etc
sage
carrot
yoghurt
green tea "matcha" (other green teas are good too)
black chocolate
porridge
and others

Cancer Cells Recognized by a Chip

Knowing that many readers of this blog are interested in the research of the possibilities to cure cancer, I decided to publish here the notice I received today. I know not so much about it but I think, I have to share this hope.

This is a very interesting notice for all us: it seems, the researchers found the possibility to make a diagnosis of cancer even if there is only one cancerous cell in the blood of a person. They say, they insert a sort of chip that works like a filter of the blood and is able to recognize ill cells if they pass through it.

The researchers are from Johnson&Johnson, that work with doctors of Massachusetts General Hospital and company Veridex.
